The  Asia  Capital  Markets  Summer  Internship  Program  (“the  Summer  Program”)  will  give  the  candidate  a  ten-week  internship  in  Lehman  Brothers'  Tokyo  or  Hong  Kong  offices.  Given  our  “One  Firm”  culture,  all  summer  interns  in  Asia  are  expected  to  interact  with  each  other  by  participating  in  training  sessions,  Management  Speakers  Series  and  social  events.  These  sessions  provide  an  understanding  of  investment  banking  in  general  and  of  Lehman  Brothers'  history,  management  approach  and  competitive  position  in  the  global  marketplace.  Not  only  will  the  candidates  gain  on-the-job  experience  within  their  area  of  placement,  but  they  will  also  have  the  opportunity  to  meet  with  senior  management  from  all  areas  of  the  Firm  during  the  summer's  training  sessions  and  many  other  of  our  planned  activities. 


WHAT  WILL  YOU  BE  DOING?

For  the  2008  Summer  Program,  the  candidate  will  be  assigned  a  mentor  and  placed  within  the  Equity  and  Fixed  Income  Division  in  our  Asian  offices.  The  candidate  will  be  potentially  working  in  one  of  the  following  areas:

Equity  or  Fixed  Income  Sales  &  Trading 
Fixed  Income  &  Equity  Research 
Quantitative  Modeling  and  Analytics 

For  the  2008  Full  Time  Program,  the  candidate  will  be  assigned  to  the  Equity  Research  Department  in  Shanghai.  While  the  candidate  will  be  based  in  Shanghai,  he/she  will  be  working  closely  with  senior  analysts  based  in  Hong  Kong  and  Shanghai.

Applicants  should  be  able  to  identify  themselves  as  possessing  several  of  the  following  qualifications:

Proficient  in  English  (strong  written  and  verbal  skills) 
Will  graduate  in  2008  for  full  time  positions  and  June/July  2009  for  the  summer  internship  positions 
Strong  academic  record  exhibiting  challenging  coursework 
Extensive  quantitative,  business  and/or  economics  training  with  an  MBA,  or  a  Master/PhD  degree  in  one  of  the  following  majors: 
Accounting,  Economics,  Finance,  Business  Administration  or  General  Management 

Computer  Science,  Engineering,  Mathematical  Finance,  Financial  Engineering 

Students  attending  International  Degree  Programs  such  as  IMBA  are  strongly  encouraged  to  apply.
