SAM  Practice  Ltd  is  seeking  a  student  to  work  as  a  Trainee  Consultant  for  twelve  months.

Responsibilities  will  include:

-  Monitoring  the  company's  helpdesk,  which  is  also  outsourced  to  other  suppliers  for  their  customers'  benefits
-  Helping  manage  internal  IT  operations
-  Offering  ideas  to  improve  processes,  both  IT  related  and  in  general
-  Supporting  technical  consultants  both  in  and  out  of  the  office
-  Shadowing  technical  consultants  on-site  to  develop  an  understanding  of  consultancy

Training  and  learning  will  include  (but  won’t  be  limited  to):

-  Implementation  and  usage  of  technologies,  including:  LANDesk  Management  Suite  &  Security  Suite,  Centennial  Discovery,  DeviceWall  &  License  Manager,  SQL  Server,  Windows  Server  2003  &  2008,  and  IIS
-  Using  application  virtualisation  and  machine  virtualisation
-  Microsoft  Licensing  understanding
-  Development  of  general  skills,  e.g.  DNS,  DHCP,  Backup  solutions,  Monitoring,  Enterprise  Management  etc
