| Job Title: | General Manager |
| Location: | Shantou |
| Responsibilities: | Started as assistant to CEO, slowly promoted to General Manager. Duties included regular communication with different departments and established strong team work skills. In addition, I had to develop and retain customers by providing them superior quality products at extremely competitive prices. One of the many successful introduction and retention of clients was a Jordanian company Basmair who purchases all year round. I was also in charge of hiring and firing employees with the main bulk of turn over in the sales department. In addition regularly attending professional Chinese product fairs which are by invitation only. Initially the company had a base of 1000 manufacturers while at the time of my departure we had over 5000 manufacturers for all of the different toy industries. We had customers from all over the world and annual turn over was 600 000 GBP. I had to oversee difficult projects which involved designing a product from just an idea, producing it at a low cost, obtaining certifications and quality standards, and ensure safe delivery of the product. With extensive knowledge in the manufacturing field, I was able to minimize cost and maximize profit for my company by establishing the base cost to produce a particular item while factoring in the material, labor, research, and licensing cost. In 2004, As General Manager, I reorganized the company and turned it into a profitable company. I constantly met revenue projections and earned yearly bonuses for meeting those goals. |

Skills & Specialty
• Organizational Skills - Organizing toy fairs and deciding which products to exhibit, designing posters, catalogs, exhibit booth and advertisements, selecting suitable employees to bring, sending invitations to customers, enticing clients to our booth and exchanging contact information. After the fair, organizing schedules and distributing salesmen to track clients in order to achieve maximum return on investment. This in addition to running an office of twenty employees, 800 regular clients, 5000+ suppliers, and constant inquiries for new business opportunities.
• Project Management - Can effectively undertake new projects or original customer designs. Clients will send me details and I will have to discuss with potential manufacturers the production time, quality level, cost, and design of the new product. After production is complete, I will analyze the project as a whole to see if my leadership met the client’s expectations and what I could have done to improve. One example is introduction of a new product line. I had to educate myself and the company of the new hot selling item and find the manufacturers immediately. The company was then able to email all 800 customers of the new product and update our marketing program of the new lineup. We were able to effectively sell a large number of remote control airplanes in time for the Christmas rush.
• International Markets - Realize the needs and wants of different clients from Europe, North and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia. Meeting with clients abroad and hosting booths at toy fairs to represent the company and entice new customers. I had to know different certification requirements for North American, Europe or Japanese products (CE, ROHS, etc).
• Negotiation – I am confident to negotiate with suppliers and customers individual contracts and sales details. Includes but not limited to contract terms, quality, price, and delivery time. I am able to determine the market price and if a product will be profitable or not. With one order, cost was reduced 20% after I negotiated the price with the supplier.
• Supplier development - Finding and maintaining a select yet extremely capable set of manufacturers to supply products that meet customer’s specifications. These usually entail cost, quality, certification, on-time delivery, variety, and creative. In return, matching suppliers with appropriate orders while paying them on time and minimizing unnecessary changes. Initially the company had a base of 1000 manufacturers while at the time of my departure we had over 5000 manufacturers for all of the different toy industries (diecast, plastics, remote control vehicles, toy guns, electronic games, dolls, plush toys, etc).
